Sunday Snapshots of the Week

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.
--Dr. Seuss (Happy Birthday, March 2nd)

Evan's first ride forward-facing.  We've kept
our kids rear-facing as long as possible per
the safety recommendations of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
Evan seemed to enjoy the ride and new view.
18-month Well-Baby appointment at
Sleepy Hollow Pediatrics.
We all love Dr. Jasani!
Kurt and I think she's
unbeatable.
We've been so lucky to have her
care for our three kids.

Pooped out after the excitement of the doctors.
Look at those yummy cheeks...so juicy!
Evan's favorite fruit: strawberries.
Actually, he's even crazier about bananas,
but sadly can't have them because
they're too "binding" for him.
Evan makes this face to make me laugh.
He and his siblings are such little goofballs.
First time trying sakura arare aka kakimochi.
He seems to like it!
Wow, cool!  Chase enjoying
his 3D coloring set.
Chase likes the fish cake (Amano brand)
that Granny brought from Hawaii.
Too bad we can't find it in stores over here.
Outdoor artsy fun.
We had a bit more snow this week.
Chase and buddy Travis at an afterschool playdate
at Alcova Park.
For some reason, Chase always calls out
the different flavors of ice cream
when he rides the tire swing.
Granny had all three kids occupied with doodling.
They were so engaged that I got a mini catnap on the couch.
Sweet!
Skyler and Madeleine at the
Annual African American Heritage Night
 at their school on Friday.
There was a silent auction, free books for the kids,
live entertainment, food, and the highlight
of the evening being
each grade performing on stage.
What a fun evening for Skyler and her classmates!
Yummy catered soul food.  It was so good!
There are 13 students in Skyler's class this year
(love the small class sizes at her school!);
only four of them are girls---Skyler, Madeleine,
Paris (center) and Gabrielle (right).
Skyler and her 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Graham.
