Sunday Snapshots of the Week

You and I will meet again
When we're least expecting it
One day in some far off place
I will recognize your face
I won't say goodbye my friend
For you and I will meet again

From "You and I Will Meet Again"

Indian food with Angie at the Delhi Club in Clarendon.
So yummy.  So much fun.
Evan with his beloved "Ah-nee."
Sky and 1st grade buddies, Madeleine and Macarly.
Chase at a playdate with his girlfriend Freya (center)
and Freya's sister Parker.
Granny and I went to the Bamboo Buffet sans kids
to celebrate Mother's Day early.
We haven't been here since I was pregnant with Evan.
They had steamed crab that day...and that's pretty much
all I ate...and ate and ate...
My peonies are blooming!
Seriously huge, beautiful and amazingly fragrant!
Breakfast with Glenda at La Madeleine, one of my fave restaurants.
How nice to catch up with one of my "oldest" Mom friends.
Boy's Day at Alcova Park with Chasey-boy.
I tried to get a shot of my two boys on Boy's Day.
This is the best I could get...
Little Rascal loves to run away from me
when I'm taking his pic...
Bethany joined us for quesadillas on Cinco de Mayo...
...and also brought over some El Pollo Rico,
hands down the best Peruvian chicken around.
With fries and slaw on the side and this yellow
sauce for dipping...seriously good stuff.

At Harris Teeter in Ballston.
I used to come here with Sky and then with
both Sky and Chase A LOT when we lived
walking distance at the Birchwood Apartments.
Such great memories.
A class luau to culminate the end of
Teacher Appreciation week.
Half of Sky's class, including the only four girls...
...the other half of the class, the all-boys table.
Taking a break from packing/purging...
ice cream outside of the Shirlington Library.
What lovely spring weather!

  1. Aww, loving the food pics! Brings back so many memories of my own...remembering getting take out from Ballston Commons (getting extra large servings from the "chineseish" place), swedish meatballs & lingonberry juice from Ikea, making spam musubi at your first apt...makes me wanna cry & my stomach start rumbling! And then you go with the El Pollo Rico...you're killin' me! :)
